Moving your parents into a retirement community or assisted living facility can be difficult, heartbreaking, expensive, tiring or all of the above. Having a good plan is key.

- Plan early, so when it’s time for them to make the move, everyone is informed.
- Do your homework. Knowing the services that can/will be available to them will make everyone feel better.
- Decide what will stay and what will go when you start planning. Do it early to make the transition easier.
- Use the services of a Certified Transition & Relocation Specialist or a Senior Move Manager if you can afford to.
