Saving Money in Our Current Economy

Many baby boomers and seniors are cutting back in order to make ends meet during these lean times we seem to be in. We all want to be able to make the most of our money, but we encourage you to take a good look at where you are spending your income so you can make educated cutbacks. Reports are all over about how many older Americans are having to make sacrifices in areas of food, clothing, health care or other items of necessity, which are definitely on the list of what not to cut back unless you absolutely have to. If at all possible, consider getting rid of luxuries or services that aren’t necessities or join the ranks of people who are using coupons to save money.

Educate yourself so you can make good choices.

We’re all in a state of uncertainty about the economy and what the next few months or years might hold for America. Don’t allow yourself to succumb to the drivel of the media and don’t panic. Get and keep your own house in order as much as you can and keep an eye out for a neighbor in need; we’re in this together.
