The National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) serves the needs of the assisted living community as a branch of the American Health Care Association (AHCA). NCAL provides national advocacy, education, networking, professional development, and quality initiatives. Also, NCAL focuses on legislation that can affect long term care. NCAL has state affiliates, which help with education, support assisted living members and advocate for those members.
