Website Helps You Manage Your Medication

November 29, 2008 By Mark Hager

Destination RX is a website that helps you manage your drug costs and puts the information about your medications within easy reach. The site is free and provides tools that are easy-to-use. The goal of the site is to assist you in safely and securely managing your medications and help you make informed prescription decisions.

After registering and using the tools available, the only thought that comes to mind is “Wow, I’ve needed this for years!” A really good tool for anyone wishing to educate themselves more about their medications. The (big) bonus is finding local pharmacies that can save you money on your prescriptions. We found the website functional, self-explanatory and very user friendly.

On the site you will find tools that will help you:

  • Identify lower cost medication options
  • Find the best prices from pharmacies in your area
  • Easily compare Medicare Part D plans and apply online
  • Find safety information about your medications.

So, if you’re in the market for something to help you manage your (or a loved one’s) medications, check out the DestinationRX website for yourself.

About Destination RX (from their website)

Since 1999, DestinationRx has evolved from a pioneer in prescription drug price comparison into the recognized industry leader. The company built and owns the most comprehensive drug therapy and price comparison database available, which we combine with proprietary technology to equip individual consumers and organizations with educational, strategic, and transaction-support tools to navigate the ever-changing healthcare marketplace. We work with government agencies, such as Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and some of the nation’s largest commercial health plans and non-profit groups.

It is great to learn about (and be able to pass along) a website that helps people manage their prescription. While managing costs is very important, managing the meds themselves can be life-preserving with the confusion of multiple meds and even side effects that come from drug interactions. Thanks for posting this info!
