6 Wet Room Designs We Love

August 26, 2014 By Mark Hager

Wet room designs can vary, but one of the best things about them is that they can create a more open space. This open space, combined with no-step shower makes it a perfect room for people with all abilities.

A wet room is a popular amenity in the UK and one we are seeing more of here in the States. If you don’t know, a wet room is essentially a bathroom with an open shower with a floor that is flush with the rest of the bathroom. These rooms are generally completely tiled and water is handled through a drainage system that serves the entire space.

Wet room designs to inspire you

Here are 6 wet room designs that showcase some of the possibilities this type of bathroom can bring to your home. Not every wet room shown here is perfect for aging in place, but each has features that would enhance a person’s quality of life.
