TubcuT ® – Modify Your Existing Bathtub to Make it More Accessible

September 1, 2008 By Mark Hager

The TubcuT® is an accessible bathtub conversion for existing fiberglass, steel, acrylic or cast iron bathtubs that creates a step through in your tub, allowing for easy access.

The process creates a seamless appearance and, according to their website, the tub will look like it came from the factory that way. The whole modification only takes one day.

The TubcuT® is a custom adaptation that transforms your standard tub into a walk-in shower. The TubcuT® is installed 4″ above the floor allowing for easier access to your tub; much like a walk-in shower.. It is custom created at your house to ensure a seamless look.

The TubcuT is also reversible. Just save the piece of your existing tub that was cut out and an installer can remove the TubcuT® adapter and add back in the part that was cut out. Thus, restoring it to it’s factory appearance. The TubcuT® comes with a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer.

Hi. I have a standard size tub and the one in the picture looks so small. How does that work?

    Thank you

      Judy,

It works the same way. Honestly, the length of the tub does not really matter. Most companies that perform this type of work can accommodate most standard size tub lengths and heights.
